It is that time of the year again, where I notice my credit and schievement progress and analyze what needs to be done. As of yet I am pretty comfortable with my situation, except with my english credit. I am not too concerned with that either but presently it is the category that requires the most of my attention. Yesterday was the first day back, and I used that time to finalize my plan for how to achieve that credit with out doing too much menial things. I looked at projects that interest me and things that I am already doing, then I thought of ways I could write about those things. One example I had was tied in with World Affairs Challenge, my plan was to write up a detailed analysis of the data we find and then discuss in that same paper how our solution is supported by the data. For this term I will also be making one massive program to decrypt messages with out knowing how it was enciphered. I began the planning yesterday and so far truely realized how complex this program will be. I will be keeping tabs on the reflections page describing my progress.
2017...Here we go.

Over the past two terms I have maybe not completed a ton of projects, but I definetely
have progressed through alot more than usual. With Court Vision we have done so much extensive research concerning concepts, ideas, and making things come together. I have another project that I have started. It is looking at the ralationship of multiple different factors such as minimum wage, GDP, and poverty in the United States. For the for the next two terms I plan on doing more java programming to not only continue one of my passions but to also progress though neccessary math skills needed for the SAT, my brother and I have also planned out the next DOL as well as the other steps we are going to take to achieve our goals. In all honesty I did not really do a whole lot with my inquiry block (IB), although it pains me to say this it needs to be said, I got busy. This time as horrible as an excuse this may be, it is the truth. When I was first introduced the concept of BOLTs, a quick way to dive into curriculum surrounded by an interesting topic, being a junior and my main goal being to graduate on time, I loved the idea of using BOLTs to get the requirements for graduation completed in a fashion that would keep me motivated to make progress. Although I did not completely realize that BOLTs can be extremely time consuming with deadlines and the requirements, not that I did not expect these to occur, but while also focusing on the independent project I am working on with my brother. Over the course of this term I took on the task of completing 4 separate BOLTs, yes I did find them interesting but a massive use of my time in Mosaic. As the BOLTs continued I got farther and farther away from my goal of completing my IB. I saw this as a major issue when the time to show what I have done rolled around. As I began to scurry around the internet looking for every little thing I thought I needed, I realized that to present my idea with the factual information that I was finding would take too long with the amount given. So, yes I have plenty of research that I found concerning my topic, but the application and the analyzing of the data is if not lacking, completely not present. This I understand is not appropriate for me, I have always held myself to high standards and the moment I notice that I dropped below them, I immediately evaluated what I should do differently. So even though this term is over and I don't have an IB to show, I know how I can make the progress necessary towards not only my graduation but also for my future.
To sum up what went on during this week would not do the work i completed justice. This week was pretty great, I have completed my social experiment and I am more than pleased with the results. This week I have also done some research concerning my inquiry block which has also been going well, and at this point I am beginning to prepare my presentation of my research. This week my brother and I have also been continuing to work towards our goal for our personal project/product we like to call "Court Vision". We have been doing research non-stop considering every aspect of how to make our idea a reality. Through this process we not only look through forums, informational documents, websites, photos, but as well as outside help from engineering teachers and the main IT guy for Castle View High School. So far, I am pretty happy with how much progress I have been making towards all of my goals.
Well, I can't say that I got what done on my website what I wanted. I also did not get too much feedback. As the websites were presented made sure to give feedback to anything that was praise worthy as well as the parts that lacked in design or flow of the website. After seeing what other people did with their websites, I plan on making some crucial changes to benefit my website in all aspects.
So happy to be back in school, and to see how the teachers have once again evolved the program to not only fit the needs of the students, but to also allow the students to really get an idea of what is expected of them. I loved the small projects at the beginning, it was an amazing substitution in place of the larger projects that people lost interest in quickly, because it was not something they were interested in. With these smaller projects they still gave the students an idea of how to be creative with minimal restrictions and so little time. It introduced the concept of time management and multitasking. All I can say is that I am pretty pumped to see this version of Mosaic.
Over the past couple days I have been developing my portfolio website. This process I can't say was that hard, due to the fact that Weebly makes the process of designing a website extremely intuitive and simplistic. But none the less I took plenty of effort of to come up with a name, pictures for the pages, as well as a theme. Other than that, it took very little work to put this website together.
